Anglesey Limekilns

Limeburning on Anglesey appears to have been mainly a local industry with the product being used for agricultural improvement and building works. The inland kilns are concentrated close to the coal supplies from the Anglesey coalfield around Malltraeth Marsh. There are also a few coastal kilns.
